What are the rules of
Futsal?

How do I know what
division is best for my team?
Generally,
Division A is the top division and is best for veteran,
skilled Futsal teams or new teams that want to be
challenged against the very best. The coaches who
participate in our program are focused on development,
so we don't see scores being run up in any divisions. We
have a great group of coaches and teams who play hard
but in a sporting manner. If you're entered in a
division that just doesn't fit, we will do everything
possible to sort things out for your team.
We want to play a certain
day but not in a certain division. What should we do?
Sign up for
the day that works best for you, and let us know that
the choice of day usurps your choice of division. We'll
get your team matched with the best division and
opponents as possible. We have a lot of flexibility with
our initial scheduling and division alignments.
I don't know anything
about Futsal, but I am signed up to be a Futsal coach! What should I do?
Don't worry!
We're here to help. Futsal itself is the best
trainer, so foremost just get your players signed up and
playing! Make sure you -- and your team -- know the
rules. You're always welcome to watch other Futsal
matches and we'd be happy to recommend teams and coaches
that are experienced and good at coaching Futsal. We can
also arrange a training session with one of our
professional coaches to help get you going with the
greatest winter training option -- Futsal!
Do you offer any price
discounts?
We offer
discounts to programs that register multiple teams
together, and to larger teams that split into two
sibling teams. You can find the full list of discounts
here.
What equipment is needed
for Futsal?
All players
must wear shirts with numbers, shorts (no pants),
shin guards covered by socks, and indoor Futsal
shoes . All teams
must also buy a League Futsal Ball upon registration.
Teams wishing
to purchase additional balls may do so. If you'd
like to purchase a large quantity of balls, please
contact us and we'll be happy to help. We do sell Futsal balls,
Indoor Futsal shoes, shin guards, socks,
goalkeeper equipment and other items in our Brookline
facility and via our online store at reduced rates for our
program participants.
Are soccer balls allowed in
your facilities?
No! For
safety reasons, no soccer balls are allowed in our
facilities. Please leave soccer balls at home or
in your vehicle. The opportunity for players to get
injured rises substantially when a soccer ball is
brought into our facilities. If you see someone -- on
your team or an opposing team -- with a soccer ball,
please help by informing of this policy.
What kind of shoes are
allowed or not allowed?
Players must wear indoor
or Futsal shoes that do not mark the floors of our
facilities. No cleats, Studded
turf shoes, nor sneakers of any kind are
allowed.
We also
request that during wet weather players change their
footwear inside our lobby. A tiny bit of water, snow,
sand or salt tracked into the court areas can cause
significant delay and risk of injury.
I see a photo I would like
a higher resolution copy of. Can I get one?
Absolutely!
Send us a note and we'd be happy to help.
Do you offer any
refreshments at your facilities?
We offer a
full service concessions table at our Brookline facility
that offers water, Gatorade, sports and energy bars,
bananas, granola bars, cookies, chips, candy and an
assortment of other items. On some occasions we also
offer hot dogs and homemade baked goods. A smaller
concessions booth will be in service at our Concord
facility this winter as well.
Why is Concord only
available for a small amount of time?
Due to the
many demands on the facility, we are only able to
reserve a partial day's worth of hours there. We
hope that as our program continues to grow we may be
able to increase those hours and offer a full day in
Concord. Until then we will do our best to schedule
desiring teams some games in Concord, though Brookline
will continue to remain our hub.
Is Futsal worth the drive
to Brookline?
It absolutely
is! Most definitely! We have teams and players coming
from as far as Concord, Carlisle, Sudbury, Marlborough,
Westborough, Framingham, Natick, Billerica, Winchester,
Norwood, Rehoboth, Norton and Tiverton, RI to take
advantage of our Futsal programs. There is simply no
better winter soccer option; and no program is more
professional or more dedicated to your success and
enjoyment than InSoccer - MA Futsal.
It's not a bad drive on a weekend, anyway! Give it a try
and we promise you'll agree that it's more than worth
the drive!
How do I sign my team up
for your league?
Go to the Appropriate
session and register your team.
Can individual players
sign up for leagues, too?
Yes. Interested
individuals should first try to get their whole team to
play! But if that's not possible, they should fill out
free agent registration forms
and we will do our best to match them with available
teams.
How many players are on a
5v5 Futsal team roster?
Team fees are
for 10 roster spots. Teams may elect to carry 12 rostered players, but the 11th and 12th players cost an
additional $25 each for insurance purposes.
Are split/sibling teams
allowed to move players?
Split teams
can swing up to three players from one team to
the other for any game, so long as the number of active
players is not greater than 12.
What insurance do you
have?

question! See the box at the bottom of this page
